Apply for Grant

Application Process

The Trustees invite proposals from 501(c)(3) organizations that are located in Montana. A Letter of Intent summarizing the project for funding must be submitted by April 3, 2017. The grants committee will then review all Letters of Intent received through the online granting system and notify applicants of approval status. Organizations that have been approved to submit a full grant request are required to do so by July 14, 2017. The Foundation will meet in September 2017 to review all grant applications and distribute grants to qualifying organizations. All applicants will be notified of final granting decisions and organizations receiving a grant will be given a timeline of when to expect funding.

Please be cognizant of the fact that although the Browning-Kimball Foundation is generous to many worthwhile causes, and while they are in favor of publicity for individual projects themselves, they respectfully request there be no publicity for the Foundation itself.

Post Grant Completion Report

All grant recipients will be required to complete a Post Grant Completion report after the grant funds are spent or within 9 months, whichever comes first. Click on the Apply for Grant link below to be directed to the online grant application website, select Post Grant Completion Report, complete and submit online.
